Isla Mujeres Wedding | Isla Mujeres Trash the Dress | Zayra + Andreas
Sometimes, a storm brewing in the distance is a good thing…especially on Isla Mujeres and especially for this fabulous couple! The sky is REALLY that blue as is the water! This Isla Mujeres post-wedding photo session took two days to complete with stops for rain, but oh was it worth it!
Our session started at the colorful and historic fishing boats. Isla Mujeres was and still is a fishing village and the wooden boats make for incredible backdrops for wedding photos. We then started out to Punta Sur only to get turned back because of the pouring rain. We headed back to their hotel to wait it out. It didn’t clear, but let up a bit so we head to the beach for a few quick shots. It was nice as we basically had the beach to ourselves! The sky was a soft dark-blue in contrast with the soft lightness of the sand which made for great photos!
It was the next day though, that blew my mind! The sky was somewhat clear first thing in the morning so we headed back out to Punta Sur at 8:30am. The sky! Oh that sky! The storm stayed out over the water for our entire session on the rocks of the south point. It was a photographer’s dream conditions!
I’m so happy for Zayra and Andy and am so glad that our post-wedding session on Isla Mujeres was able to happen! Much happiness to this fabulous couple!!!!
