Masoud proposed marriage to Rowena on Isla Mujeres and she said yes! This fabulous couple is staying in Cancun at the Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort, but Masoud had his eye on the beautiful Mexican island of Isla Mujeres for his big wedding proposal to his forever partner, Rowena. Masoud contacted me about three weeks back expressing interest in proposing to his girlfriend. I explained that I could secretly capture his proposal then we would do their engagement photos after the excitement of the I DO. He looked through my photos to see where the big moment was going to happen and landed on a spot overlooking the Caribbean Sea at Punta Sur, the south side of the island. Punta Sur (also known as South Point) is a magical place with its volcanic rock and crashing waves. It is also the home to the temple of the goddess Ixchel.

Instead of taking the ferry over to the island, Masoud and Rowena arrived in style on a catamaran! On the way across, they stopped for some snorkeling and enjoyed the warm Caribbean waters.

The proposal went off without a hitch and Rowena’s face was priceless. I couldn’t have been more thankful that I was there to capture their next adventure together. Best wishes to you both and much love!
