Isla Mujeres Marriage Proposal | Cancun Wedding Proposal | Donnie + Carly

Love is in the air! I am excited to share that Donnie and Carly are officially ENGAGED!!!!

Donnie initially contacted me through Instagram. He saw an image that I had taken that struck him as the perfect location to propose to his girlfriend of over two years. The spot is an overlook stone platform at Punta Sur jutting out over the incredibly blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. Donnie and Carly were staying in Cancun, but the trip over to the island was so worth it! I provided Donnie with detailed step-by-step instructions on how to get to his chosen spot.

It went perfectly! While Carly was looking out over the ocean, Donnie backed up a bit and got down on one knee. Carly turned to see her love holding a beautiful sparkling diamond ring and couldn’t believe her eyes. The look of surprise, love and deep affection on Carly’s face was evident and I’m so excited I was there to photograph this incredible new beginning for them!

After the initial hugs and kisses that followed the unveiling of the ring, I introduced myself and told Carly that I had captured the entire marriage proposal and now we were going to do their engagement session!

After their engagement session, I gave them a ride in my golf cart to the restaurant Donnie had selected for a romantic sunset dinner on the beach. Mayan Beach Club is a fabulous restaurant on Isla Mujeres with an incredible menu and amazing views. The sunset was perfect that day with soft shades of pinks and blues.
