Zama Beach Club Elopement | Isla Mujeres | Lisa + Mark

A few weeks back, I joined Lisa and Mark on Isla Mujeres, an island off the coast from Cancun. If you follow my blog, you’ll know that I LOVE this island not only because of it’s beauty and laid-back atmosphere, but because I am honored to photograph the destination weddings of so many incredible couples who also love Isla Mujeres. Lisa and Mark were one of these INCREDIBLE couples!!! They chose Isla Mujeres for their intimate ceremony with just the two of them. I met Lisa in her room at Villa Rolandi, a beautiful hotel that also hosts destination weddings. The incredibly talented, Anne Marie Cote of Make Me Beautiful Bride, was there doing Lisa’s hair and makeup when I arrived. Lisa and Mark had their ‘First Look’ on the grounds of Villa Rolandi and then we got in a taxi for an island photo tour! Our first stop was in Centro with the colorful building, we then headed over to the northeast side of the island where the historic and colorful fishing boats were. After that, all the way south to Punta Sur with it’s rocky shores, dramatic crashing waves, stone walkway and volcanic rock. Just before sunset, we went to Zama Beach Club and on the white sand beach under a grove of palms, Lisa and Mark exchanged their private vows. Their intimate weddings was so special and loving and I am so happy for them both!
