Isla Mujeres Wedding | Privilege Aluxes Wedding | Cara + Nick

Cara and Nick had their destination wedding at the exclusive Privilege Aluxes on Isla Mujeres in Mexico. Their wedding was intimate, with close friends and family. Their first vacation together as a couple was to Isla Mujeres so it was fitting that their wedding would also be held on this beautiful Mexican island.

I first joined Cara when she was getting ready in her room at Privilege Aluxes and then we headed out onto the property for the couple’s “first look” which was held in a beautiful and lush garden area on the property. We then jumped in a taxi and headed to Punta Sur for photos. It was a bit windy that day so the water was crashing and made for some very dramatic photos!

After photos at Punta Sur, we headed back to Privilege Aluxes for their ceremony and reception. Privilege Aluxes put together and wonderful package for this couple’s nuptials with a beautifully decorated arch for their ceremony and an intimate table arrangement for their dinner.

Guests took their seats for their beach ceremony about an hour before sunset and Cara’s son walked her down the aisle while Nick’s son walked with him. During the ceremony, they did a unity puzzle where they both, along with their sons, put pieces of a puzzle together representing their commitment and bond to each other. It was such a special moment!

They had a wonderful sunset and their dinner and wedding celebration was beautiful.
