Before Emily and April’s ceremony at Punta Sur, I met up with them at Casa de los Palmas, where they were getting ready. They had a very special ‘first look’ then we jumped in a taxi for photos around the island. We visited the historic buildings in centro, colorful fishing boats and a few new murals that have been added around the island.

We then headed to Punta Sur, the south point of the island, for their destination wedding ceremony. I have been photographing on the island since 2005, but this was only my second ceremony at Punta Sur. It really is a magnificent backdrop to a wedding! Following their ceremony, we did photos around Punta Sur until sunset. We then headed to Lola Valentina for their reception dinner. Lola’s recently expanded their restaurant and now have a wonderful side room that is perfect for small group dinners. Very romantic plus the food is out of this world!

What an amazing day Emily and April had and I am so lucky to have been their destination wedding photographer!
