Tulum Wedding Photography | Ahau Tulum Wedding Photographer | Shannon + Chris

Nestled in a beautiful and lush jungle setting beside the Caribbean Sea in Tulum is the boutique beach-chic resort of Ahau Tulum. Ahau Tulum is the perfect setting for a rustic-elegant destination wedding in Mexico and that is exactly what Shannon and Chris thought when they choose this fabulous beach resort for their Tulum destination wedding!

Chris and Shannon were joined by their family and friends…a total of 92 people attended! They are truly loved!

I began my day with Chris and his guys. What a fun group they are! It is easy to see that this group is super close and love Chris. I then headed over to join Shannon and her girls in their bungalow. Our beautiful bride was getting her makeup and hair done while the other girls relaxed in their cute pale pink robes. With champagne in hand, they toasts our stunning bride!

Their ceremony took place on the beach beside the sea. The bride’s step-brother officiated the ceremony which made it all that much more special. The sky was threatening and started to rain a bit during the ceremony, but no one cared. Everyone’s focus was on the love resonating from this incredible couple!

Cocktail hour was held on the beach with a Mezcal bar for guests to try. In the background, talented musicians played while guests mingle, laughed and hugged. Overhead, the sky was ominous but incredibly beautiful! The light was amazing! As day turned into night, everyone sat down for a lovely dinner at the beautifully decorated marble tables under twinkle lights. No sooner had everyone settled in, then the skies opened up and started to rain! Everyone moved under the main palapa to wait out what we thought would be a quick, passing rain. As the time drifted by, they realized that moving back to the beach tables wasn’t possible so dinner and toasts were held in the main palapa. Dinner was incredible…Ahau does it right!

After dinner and toasts, everyone moved back out to the dance floor. It was still raining a bit, for no one noticed because the dancing had begun!

What an incredible wedding for this fabulous couple! Much thanks go to Nisia who coordinated and designed the most stunning of weddings!
