Zama Beach Club Wedding | Isla Mujeres Wedding Photography | Kirby + Hunter

Zama Beach Club, an exclusive, beach chic wedding venue on the Mexican island of Isla Mujeres is a beautiful location for a destination wedding and the perfect setting for Kirby and Hunter!

Two years ago, Kirby and Hunter went on a blind date and their lives were never the same again. Fast forward to July 2018 when Hunter proposed to Kirby at Playa Area, a boutique hotel on Isla Mujere’s Playa Norte. I love that the island is already part of their love story and continues to be now that they were married here!

I first met up with Hunter and his guys at Izla Hotel. The room they were getting ready in was a bit tight for this big group, so we headed to the rooftop deck to hang as I photographed them having a few beers and having fun! I then headed to see how Kirby was doing with her girls. I love that Kirby did a ‘reveal’ for her girls! It was so fun and she looked amazing!

Kirby and Hunter decided to have their first look at Punta Sur, the most easterly point of all Mexico…the place where the sun first kisses the country each morning. The skies were threatening so we waited a bit before heading out to the cliffs. It was a good thing we did, because it rained but it didn’t last too long. Their first look was so sweet! I absolutely loved the look on Hunter’s face when he saw his beautiful bride! We stayed at Punta Sur for some photos before heading to their wedding venue, Zama Beach Club. Kirby went into the bridal suite to hide while their guests arrived and were met with cocktails in coconuts!

Their ceremony, performed by Sabina, was held on the soft, white sand beach. It was a wonderful and tender ceremony. After they were announced husband and wife, everyone headed over to the dock for a group photo. They were so blessed to have so many friends and family attend their Isla Mujeres destination wedding!

Incredible toasts were followed by an amazing dinner, fire dancers, first dances, cake cutting, and crazy fun dancing! It was truly the perfect destination wedding! Congrats Kirby and Hunter! It was an honor to be your destination wedding photographer!
